A Busy Day — (Uh, you say you’re retired, so how can you be busy?

We purchased a couple of oversized rattan chairs for our new bungalow (of course we’ll move them to the villa after they’re built), but they don’t do well when exposed to water. Our covered porch does get rather wet when the rain turns into tropical downpours.

So we ordered the following — and it showed up first thing yesterday morning:

The person on the temporary “stand” is Putu’s dad. Putu found the bungalow for us. He’s a real estate rental dude from Bali who specializes in rentals for the bulè (foreigners):

It took most of the day but in the end it really came together:

You now can see one of the two oversized rattan chairs (the other is inside the bungalow). Those arrived soon after the rain protection project ended:

Then, after dealing with the two vendors, it was off to the beach with our dog Jimboo.

Sunday is locals day and the beach is about as full as it gets.

Nearing the end of the day and there’s still a crowd.

And that’s about it for one day.

Sampai jumpa! (See you soon!)
