I Live in Bali. So I got a dog
It seems a bit early to commit to a dog, but many people recommend a Bali dog as a guard dog. The chances are slim but like anywhere there are petty crimes. Workers from poorer parts of Indonesia come to work in Bali and hope to return home for the holidays with offerings for their families. Dogs can scare off all but serious criminals. So here’s our fierce brute:
Surprisingly the land owner and neighbor also bought a dog, three days before we did.
So now besides sharing satay we let the dogs play together.
Our dog’s name is Jimboo. The neighbor dog’s name is Pupie.
We are training him to be an outdoor dog and so far it seems to be working, although he does try to sneak inside when we’re not looking about 15% of the time.
The strange thing about Jimboo is that he refuses to eat by himself. We can’t quite understand it but at least for now he goes over to Pupie’s villa to play and eat!
