New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Bali: a Community Affair

The fireworks that you see in this video are representative of all of Bali: they are set off by local community groups (Banjar) as well as individuals. I’m used to towns or cities controlling fireworks displays, as they can be dangerous, but just like driving a scooter across Bali you take your lives into your own hands when ringing in the new year.
