Went to a notary to consult on the options for foreigners to own land. It is possible but for a maximum of 80 years (and the upfront fees are quite high).

Then we went to Bali Bule BBQ for some excellent ribs. “Bule” means foreigner and the classic bbq sauce is a very good attempt at a true Western sauce. There’s also a Bali sauce but we haven’t tried it yet. One order of ribs (maybe 9?), hand-cut wedge fries, cole slaw, Bali beef stew and rice, as well as two lime drinks (Total: $10.65 including tip).

After that we went to see the Thor movie (two tickets $5.17. Theater is first-rate!).
