Shoe Repair (flip flops) & later a Spicy Fruit Cup

I like my flip flops but one layer became unglued. I tried two types of glue but then decided to have them repaired by re-stitching the layers together: bill 30,000 rupiah ($2.20 usd)

Just about every day I try and have at least one fresh fruit drink. In the tropics it’s extra nice to have something cold and a lime splash (fresh lime in bubbly water and liquid sugar), fresh-squeezed juice or a smoothie just hits the spot.

This time Shelly advised me to try a crushed fruit cup (originally from Java), with fruit, brown palm sugar and a couple of killer chiles:

It was quite good but super spicy, although Shelly’s reaction was (“There’s only two chiles in it!”). Price was 5,000 rupiah each ($.37 usd).
