Something Big to Announce

I’m going to build three villas in Bali and rent or sell two of them. The work on the 35 meter road to the property, in Pererenan, started today!

There is a small waterway next to the main road and we have to re-build the wall to make it support trucks and trucks and trucks of materials.

In the first day a LOT of greenery was torn away, a footing for the road was dug and partially filled with concrete and rocks, and the walls to support the future tiny bridge (to support the trucks and trucks of materials) is already poured.

Impressed!

The work crews tend to come from Java. The tendency is not to hire Balinese workers because they have too many ceremonies! That’s what I’ve been told and based on personal observations the Balinese do have many ceremonies. And while they tend to look so colorful and amazing, the effort required to make costumes and sculptures and decorations of all sorts must be a part-time job!
